ROME – AMALFI COAST & HOLYLAND with IRMA OLMEDO – NOV/2023

Presentation at the airport at the time indicated to fly to Rome. Night on board

Arrival in Rome. Meeting at Leonardo da Vinci airport with our representative and transferred by bus to the NOVA DOMUS hotel. Rest of the day free . Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast. Departure with our Bus by the Highway of Sun, to the south. Arrival in Naples. Stop at the hill of Posillipo from where you can enjoy one of the most spectacular views of the city. Continuation to the port Beverello and boarding in aliscafo to Capri. Arrival, after 20 minuts, at the port of Marina Grande. If weather and sea conditions permit, transfer to motorboats to visit the Blue Grotto. Panoramic tour of the island, including the villages of Capri and Anacapri. In the afternoon, free time before embarking on aliscafo to Sorrento.
Dinner and overnight in our hotel GRAN PARADISO.

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel in our bus to the port and embarkation for a day of excursion of one of the most extraordinary and surprising coasts of the Tyrrhenian Sea. During the boat trip in the direction of Amalfi, we will see incomparable places such as Li Galli Island, Nerano, Praiano, the Fiordo of Furore and many more breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast. Arrival in Amalfi. Disembark for a visit to its famous Cathedral which sits at the top of a monumental staircase overlooking the main square. We will continue with the visit of Positano, a harmonious combination of sea and mountain, a postcard landscape that captivates the eyes from all angles. We are in the homeland of Limoncello and we can not finish this tour without having tasted the liquor that has conquered the whole world, characterized by its fresh and sour aroma. Arrival in Sorrento in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast. Departure that morning back to Rome. Arrival at noon. Meeting with our guide to make a Tour of Imperial Rome with the Colosseum (entrance not included), the Roman Forums (tickets not included), Piazza Venezia with its monument to the unknown soldier, Trevi Fountain, the famous Via Veneto. Arrival at our Hotel NOVA DOMUS. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast. . Transfer in our Bus to the airport and boarding for Israel. Arrival in Tel Aviv. Meeting with our guide at Ben Gurion airport and departure to Jaffa, for lunch. Continue towards Haifa. We will climb to Mount Carmel, to find the Grotto of the Prophet Elias and contemplate the Baha’i Temple and its beautiful Persian Gardens. Continuing to Israel’s border with Lebanon, we will go to the sea caves of Rosh HaNikra. Here we can enter the cave chambers and tunnels where the waves crash against the rocks. Returning south, we visit the Crusader city of Acre and its Medieval fortresses. continues to Nazareth. Dinner and overnight in our hotel GOLDEN CROWN.

Breakfast. Visit to the Mount of Beatitudes, where we will do our personal meditation. Visit to Capernaum, visit to the ruins of the house of Saint. Peter, visit the ruins of the ancient Synagogue. We continue to Tabgha, the place of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. Then we embark to make a crossing of the Sea of Galilee, and already out to sea, we will make the corresponding readings. We will visit the Primacy of Peter, where Jesus tells his disciples who are returning from fishing “Boys, bring some of the fish you have just caught“, there is a rock where Jesus had prepared the fire, and he was waiting for them, he asks Peter there, do you love me more than these? We will visit the Church of the Annunciation, where the Angel visited Mary (Luke 1), place where the word became flesh, the Church of St. Joseph where he taught the art of wood to Jesus. We will go to the grotto of the Holy Family, and continue to Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed his first miracle. Opportunity to renew the Sacrament of Matrimony, for those who are married. Departure to Mt. Tabor and up by taxi to visit the Church of the Transfiguration. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast. Traveling through the Jordan Valley we will pass through Jericho, the oldest city in the world. Upon entering Jericho, there is a sycamore tree that reminds us of Zacchaeus, there, we will make the corresponding reading. We will continue to the Dead Sea. . The Dead Sea is the lowest point on the planet, it is 400 meters below sea level and its waters, more than waters, are salts and are said to be medicinal. Continuation to Jerusalem, where we will arrive singing the psalm and in a high part of Mount Scopus, we will make a toast, because we have arrived at the Holy City.

Breakfast. Departure to Bethlehem. Visit to the Basilica of the Nativity, the Church of Santa Catarina, the Grotto of St. Jerome and the Grotto of the Milk.This day, we begin our pilgrimage on the Mount of Olives, the place of the Ascension of Lord. To the Cave of the Our Father, to the Chapel of Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept for Jerusalem. Then we visited the Basilica of Gethsemane where Jesus died and a few meters from there is the Grotto of Betrayal where Judas delivered him. We continue to Mount Zion with the Upper Room, where Jesus instituted the Sacrament of the Priesthood and the Eucharist, Visit to the Abbey of the Dormition of Mary. We will enter the Old City through the Zion Gate to visit the Western Wall, the most important place for the Jewish religion. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast. Departure and route of the 14 stations of the Via Crucis, visiting the Church of the Flagellation, the Chapel of the Condemnation, until you reach the Holy Sepulchre. Visit of the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre. We continue to Ain Karen to visit the Church of St. John the Baptist and the place where the Virgin visited her cousin St. Elizabeth. Tonight we will have our farewell dinner and delivery of Pilgrimage certificates. Overnight.

Breakfast. Departure to Tel Aviv. Free time to walk on the beaches. Dinner and overnight in our Hotel GRAND BEACH.

Breakfast . Transfer in our private bus to the Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv to board our flight back to the USA.
